Act now to secure a place in one of our Community Capacity-Building Programs

We are taking expressions of interests for NDIS participants or people with identified needs to participate in our planned community programs for 2021.

Monday

“Yarn Up” a group program for Aboriginal men to promote identity through activities that promote connection to self, others, culture, community, and country.

Occurs weekly.

Lunch provided.

A We Care staff member can support you with attending the group. Attendance at the group is part of an innovative community participation program.

Tuesday

Social Connections Group – Knitting.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from men and women who would like to participate in a social connections activity that involves knitting.

The group will meet weekly.

Small refreshment will be provided.

A We Care staff member can support you with attending the group.

Attendance at the group is part of an innovative community participation program.

Wednesday

Social Connections Group – Movement.

The group is for men and women who would like to establish social connections with others in the community and to promote physical activity via a walking group or other low impact activity.

Occurs weekly.

Small refreshment provided.

A We Care staff member can support you with attending the group.

Attendance at the group is part of an innovative community participation program.

Thursday

Social Connections Group – Cooking.

The group is for men and women who would like to participate in a social connections activity and build their capacity to prepare meals.

The group will meet weekly. Participants will be able to enjoy the items that they prepare during the group.

Friday

“Sista Circle” a group program for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal women to promote identity through activities that promote connection to self, others, culture, community, and country. 

Occurs weekly.
